To be a member of the Cowbridge Chamber of Trade costs £15 per month. This can be paid by standing order form (please email to request a form).
This money covers the following activities:
Christmas Lights, trees and decorations in the town.
Sponsorship and running of the hugely popular Reindeer Parade – did you know that is costs the chamber approximately £9k per annum to run this event. We have managed to secure some sponsorship this year from NFU mutual which should leave money in the chamber coffers to look at spending on signage in town, perhaps arranging some trips from the lovely people in Bath/Bristol or west Wales to day trip here. To perhaps look at employing a part time co-ordinator for the town to improve footfall here.
Bottom line – the more members we have, the more money we may have to use promoting our town – for example subsiding advertising and PR work or promoting a park and ride scheme or having the ability to apply for funding and being able to match fund to make Cowbridge better.
