Saturday June 23rd will see the first Strawberry Street in Cowbridge. Organised by Breast Cancer Care Cymru and a team of volunteers from Cowbridge, the team will host an old fashion Strawberry Tea with games and stalls at Cowbridge’s Old Hall Gardens.
To support the event Cowbridge High Street will be turning pink from Saturday June 9th. For two weeks, local businesses will be dressing their windows with Breast Cancer Care balloons and banners and fundraising in store.
Sally Harrop, 49, from Cowbridge, volunteered to help organise Strawberry Street after Breast Cancer Care Cymru supported her through her breast cancer diagnosis.
“I have used a number of Breast Cancer Care services, so being able to help them raise money to ensure they can continue to support other people going through what I went through is very important to me.Please come along and support the first Strawberry Street in Cowbridge! And more importantly support Breast Cancer Care Cymru and people living across Wales with Breast Cancer.”
Across the UK, someone will be diagnosed with breast cancer every 10 minutes. Breast Cancer Care want to be there to support everyone of them. With your help we can. If you would like to help turn Cowbridge pink and support this event please contact the Wales office on 02920 234070.
