What Happens to Infographics waste products?
by printing on October 12, 2011
Businesses create a lot of rubbish and waste, and printing companies are high on the list – so what happens to Infographics waste ?
Waste paper/card/board/cardboard is collected in a large skip once ever week for recycling by Severnside Recycling. Waste ink, ink tins, plastic containers and aluminium printing plates are collected by J & G Environmental for recycling and careful disposal.
Copper, Brass and Aluminium dies are taken to a scrap merchant for melting down and re use. Wood pallets are either returned to paper merchants or collected by a pallet dealer for re use. Contaminated wash up rags are collected monthly, washed and re used.
6 years ago Infographics was one of the first companies in wales to take on the system of total chemistry free printing plate production and still uses this system.
Waste and the environment is taken very seriously by Infographics and further improvements are constantly being sought.
